Produsent​,​ DJ og entertainer​,​ Daniel Ortega utviklet en unik interesse for musikk ganske tidlig​,​ da han fant ut at musikk var i blodet hans fra tidlig alder. Han har etablert et godt rykte for sine utmerkede DJ-mikser og inspirerende​,​ fargerike utvalg av låter. Daniel Ortega has long been causing hysteria in the Norwegian club scene. Playing his first show at the tender age of 18 year olds​,​ Ortega has since risen to become one of Norway’s most exciting house music Producer​/​DJs. An astute deck technician​,​ he possesses an innate ability to select the right tracks at the right time to create those rare life changing moments on the dancefloor. Since that first show in 1998​,​ his career has continued to burn brightly. On the road he has DJed throughout Europe taking in cities from Barcelona to Berlin and London to Lisbon. His globetrotting exploits have also taken in international destinations such as Hong Kong​,​ Bangkok and Shanghai. Along the way performing alongside countless peers of whom include Axwell​,​ Bob Sinclar​,​ Roger Sanchez​,​ Francesco Diaz​,​ Eddie Thoneick​,​ Thomas Gold​,​ Eric Prydz and many others. Ortega also cites Ibiza as one of the grounding inspirations to the current sound and style he both produces and performs​,​ in his own words “Even after all these years​,​ Ibiza continues to awaken my soul with new musical horizons. During the summer months the island is so alive with electronic music and offers so many explorative avenues for discovering new music and artists; it’s infectious”. As well as his many club dates​,​ Ortega has also DJed at a number of special one-off events such as P. Diddy Afterparty​,​ Nordic Music Awards and Oslo Fashion Week. He continues to perform at these red-carpet styled events​,​ DJing frequently for leading music and lifestyle brands throughout Scandinavia and Europe. Today signed Wormland Music Agency​,​ alongside artists such as Francesco Diaz​,​ Frankox​,​ Sl Curtiz and David Costa. Ortega’s profile as a producer was born at the tail-end of 2008 when his single ‘Inner Eye’ featuring the sublime vocal talents of Fabal received its official released on Musica Diaz. The remix package for the track featured mixes from Francesco Diaz and Panevino and was a ignition to his steady rise as a certified house talent. Follow up releases were not far behind and by the end of 2011 Ortega had completed a hugely successful collaboration with Mike Moorish and Phaxx titled ‘The OC (Oslo Connection)’ which received a release on Wormland Black and included a remix from David Costa & Jeff Rock. Remix work during this time included a new edit of Francesco Diaz’s iconic ‘Ibiza’ anthem​,​ as well as a joint remix with Mike Moorish of ‘C-Mos – 2 Million Ways’. It will come as no surprise then that his work is fast winning plaudits with many of the scenes most notable names and has also been signed to compilations such as Ministry of Sound. Ortega’s form has found its stride in 2012 with a slew of robust releases already under his belt. From his remix of Futuristic Polar Bears – Offshore (Daniel Ortega & Mike Moorish Remix) to two new collaboration tracks with Mike Moorish in ‘Redemption’ and more recently ‘Crystal’​,​ summer 2012 is already sizing up to be an exciting period in the expansion of Daniel Ortega’s global music domination…
